How to get purple?
During drawing, the question often arises, how to get some color by mixing other colors. For example, to draw violets, you need to know how to get the violet color from the available other colors.
In fact, it is extremely simple to do this. For this we need only three colors - white (that is, white), red and blue. To get the violet, squeeze a little bit of red and blue paint on the palette. Then, gradually mix them with a brush. If you want to get a lighter purple, you need to add a little white. The more white there is in the paint, the more light the color will be. Adding too much white color, you will get a lilac color.
Also, the saturation of the hues of outgoing colorsdepends also on how the new color will turn out. Scarlet red and light blue color will give purple with a burgundy hue, bright red and dark blue - a rich purple, close to the eggplant tint.
Working with watercolor, use white notcertainly. Water plays a key role here. To make a more saturated or pale color, just add more or less water, respectively. Remember that you need to achieve the desired color on the palette, and not on paper, because the latter can soften and lose its appearance. Now you know how to get purple.
