Location lambda probe. Signs of lambda probe failure. What happens if the oxygen sensor fails
Detectors should be mounted in places where there is a high probability of gas. Places requiring the greatest protection in industrial plants will be located near gas boilers, compressors, tanks, drums or pipes under pressure. Areas that are more prone to leakage are valves, sensors, flanges, seals T, filling or emptying connections, etc.
There are some simple and often quite obvious considerations that help locate the detector. To detect gases that are lighter than air, detectors should be set at a high level and it is preferable to use a collecting cone.To detect gases that are heavier than air gases, detectors should be installed at a low level. Consider how a gas leak can occur due to natural or forced drafts. When placing detectors, consider possible damage caused by natural causes, such as rain or flooding. For detectors installed in the open air, it is preferable to use the structure of protection against atmospheric influences. When placing the detector in a warm climate and in direct sunlight, use a visor. For example, butane and ammonia are generally heavier than air, but if unloading occurs on a process line that is at a high temperature or under pressure, the gas may rise rather than decrease. Detectors should be positioned slightly behind the high pressure parts to form gas clouds. Otherwise, any gas leakage is likely to pass at high speed without detection. This ensures that dust or water does not accumulate in front of the sensor and prevents gas from entering the detector. When installing infrared devices with an open circuit, it is important to ensure that there is no obstruction or permanent blocking of the infrared beam.Pre-blocking of vehicles, site personnel, birds, etc. they can be resolved. Ensure that the structures in which the open track devices are installed are strong and not subject to vibration.
- If necessary, install the detectors in the ventilation ducts.
- Consider the process conditions.
- Consider the ease of access for testing and repair.
- Detectors should be installed in the specified location and point down.
