Utilities are becoming more expensive
In January of the current year, tariffs for public utilities for residents of Karelia increased by 14.8%, Yury Akhtarin, the chairman of the state committee on tariff regulation of Karelia, said at a meeting of the republic's government on Monday.
According to him, the highest rates of tariff growth are observed in Petrozavodsk, Suorovsky and Loukhsky districts. So, the tariffs for heat energy increased by 12.4%, for liquefied gas - 16.6%. Significantly increased and tariffs for electricity and water.
As Akhtarin has noted, the indices of the rise in prices for utilities in Karelia are lower than the average values in the Northwestern Federal District.
